Good Videos That You May or May Not Know About

The title is fairly self-explanatory. I spend a lot of time on YouTube, and over time I've amassed quite a few favourite videos. Watch them - you won't regret it! :D

Nick Pitera
This guy is one of the greatest singer's I have EVER heard. He first shot to fame with the video below, a Disney medley. Did I mention he's an AWESOME singer?

Paint - Jon Cozart
A few of you may remember I wrote about this guy last year. He's funny, cute and not too bad a singer! Definitely worth checking him out! Unfortunately he doesn't post an awful lot of videos so there's always a lot of hype. His most recent video (below) has already been named as a '2013 Viral Video' and since it's publication this week has already amassed over 2 million views!

Area 11
A upcoming new band who entwine concepts of modern western rock and eastern gajin rock. If you like rock music these guys are definitely worth listening to! I've put my favourite 3 songs from their debut album below :)

General Hilarity
Doesn't really need an introduction, does it...

Have a good weekend everybody!

Nostalgia

This is personal. So it won't make sense.

I miss the old days. The old days where it was summer all day long and the best thing to do was to go to the park, see a movie, eat ice cream, go to the woods. The best thing was to just sit in the garden and lie there, listening to the birds singing or gentle music playing.
Where all I wanted to do was play the piano, or my ukulele, or just sit there and sing.
Where I realised that 'life is like a camera lens - focus on whats important and you will capture it perfectly.'

So much has happened in so short a time. Love was found. Hatred and fear emerged. Friends became enemies, and enemies became friends. People joined the family - others left. People were born. People died.

What crazy world do we live in today? The modern day consists of Gangnam Style and Harlem Shake. It consists of TOWIE and Made in Chelsea. It consists of alcohol at every party, every weekend. It consists of some people feeling so alone that they cannot bear to go on. And yet they do. And it is those brave people, those who deserve recognition for choosing to fight on, who are often the most ignored.

I wish for a time where it was commonplace to go dancing. Where a boy would buy you flowers and offer his arm. Where girls could wear pretty dresses and the boys in suits and they would dance, or go to dinner. Where at the end of the night the boy would walk you to your door, and kiss you on the cheek, leaving you star-struck and still spinning in your room with happiness, the thrill of love coursing through you. Where people felt equal. There was no social divide, no social hierarchy.

People seem to forget that there is pain and suffering in this world. There are people dying every minute, every second. And yet all we can think to do is surf the internet, be cruel and drink our happiness away. There are people who desperately need our help. And we deign to look down on them as though they are inferior.

The underdog is treated like a dog. But dogs bite back.
